Winter Ball

• When?: 17th January 2026 from 8pm (admission from 7pm)
• Where?: Bürgerhaus Bovenden
• Crashkurs?: 7th January, 6pm c.t. in the Ü-Saal

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the Hilbert Room (MI), there will be the very last opportunity to purchase a ticket. The last remaining tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Only while supplies last!

You can pick up tickets that have already been reserved on the following dates:

• Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the ‚Fachschafts‘-room of the CS (IfI)
• Monday, January 12, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hilbert Room (MI)
• Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hilbert Room (MI)
• Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the ‚Fachschafts‘-room of the CS (IfI)

A ticket costs 12 euros. Please bring the exact amount if possible.

If you are unable to attend on any of the above dates, please write a pickup authorization to a person you trust.

For tickets that are not picked up, the reservation will expire after the pickup dates. There will be no box office!

Please note, that the moderation at the ball will be in German.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable in your outfit — you’ll be allowed in wearing any clothes! However, we would appreciate it if you wore evening attire.
We also ask you to wear clean shoes (i.e. no street shoes) and no pointed heels at the ball so as not to damage the dance parquet.

Stops: Bovenden Rathaus or Bovenden Breite Straße

According to Google Maps, the 180 also runs back to Göttingen at 2:42 a.m., for example.

It takes about 30 minutes to cycle there from the city center.

Can’t dance? No problem!

On Wednesday, January 7, there will be a crash course for the winter ball in the Ü-Saal (MI)!

• Starting at 6:15 p.m., we invite everyone with little or no previous experience to learn the basics of the most common dances.
• Starting at 8:00 p.m., anyone who has already mastered the basic steps is welcome to learn a few new simple moves.
• Starting at around 9:00 p.m., you are welcome to stay for free dancing (or join in if you already know how to dance :)).

Whether you have a dance partner or not, feel free to stop by. We look forward to seeing you!
